Mr. Desai is a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology which is one of India's premier educational institutions.

Mr Desai started his career in Tata Motors , India's most reliable, dynamic and futuristic automobile manufacturer.

Mr. Desai has worked for 22 years in ITC Ltd. one of India’s foremost private sector
companies on assignment in Asia, Europe and USA. Mr. Desai held various positions in the company’s Information Systems Division including Vice-President Software Services. ITC Ltd's subsidiary ITC Infotech India Ltd is aggressively pursuing emerging opportunities in e-enabled services and business process outsourcing.

Mr. Desai also held the position of CEO in ITC Infotech’s UK subsidiary where he was responsible for its European operations. He also was the head of ITC Infotech's US subsidairy responsible for its North American operations.
